TIM Marsden, uses pen and ink, watercolors, oils and mixed media to create whimsical delightful works. Originally from Liverpool, and raised in Canada and the US, Marsden has lived on many points on the planet. He returned to the UK to attend City and Guilds of London Art School in 1984, and two years later started a mural painting company in Glasgow with friends. Tim returned to London several years later, officially declaring himself an artist. In 1997, after a few years in Barcelona, Tim returned to the US and has been a resident of Seattle ever since. Over the past 30 years he has shown in Seattle, London, Barcelona and Manresa, Spain and has been in group shows including participation in several of COCA’s infamous They Shoot Painters Don’t They painter’s marathon. His influences include Goya as well as literary influences which run through his work, most notably Niccoli Gogol and a bunch of poets.
